Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kit, a product of Stallion Company Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales, registered address 4 Queen Street, Bath, BA1 1HE, United Kingdom.

By creating an account or using Kit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kit.

Kit is a financial intelligence tool that helps short-let rental operators categorise bank transactions, attribute revenue to properties, track expenses, and generate tax-related summaries.

Kit is not a bank. Kit is not an accounting firm. Kit is not a tax advisor. Kit does not provide financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. The categorisation, calculations, and summaries provided by Kit are tools to assist you and your accountant — they are not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your tax filings and financial reporting. Always consult a qualified accountant or tax advisor before making financial or tax decisions.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

One account per business entity. You may not create multiple accounts for the same business.

You agree to use Kit only for lawful purposes related to managing the finances of a legitimate short-let rental business. You must not use Kit to process data belonging to someone else without their consent, attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer or copy Kit's functionality, use Kit to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or any illegal activity, or upload false or misleading financial data.

You retain ownership of all data you upload to Kit. We do not claim ownership of your bank statements, PMS exports, or any financial data you provide.

By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Kit service. This licence ends when you delete your data or close your account.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any data you provide. If you upload data relating to third parties (such as guest names from your PMS), you must ensure you have a lawful basis to share that data with Kit.

Kit uses artificial intelligence to categorise transactions and answer questions about your finances. AI-generated outputs are provided as-is and may contain errors. You should review all categorisations and not rely solely on AI output for tax filing or financial decisions.

We are not liable for any errors in AI-generated categorisation or responses.

Free tier: Limited functionality, no payment required.

Paid tiers: Billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

Prices may change with 30 days' written notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We aim to keep Kit available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will endeavour to notify you of planned maintenance in advance.

Support is provided via email. Response times depend on your subscription tier.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Kit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kit, including but not limited to errors in categorisation, incorrect tax calculations, missed deductions, or financial losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Kit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within Kit. Continued use of Kit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

You may close your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, use Kit for illegal purposes, or fail to pay subscription fees.

On termination, your data is retained for 30 days (see Privacy Policy) then permanently deleted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
